SomatoEmotional Release® is a method based om craniosacral techniques. This method allows the patient/client to come into better contact with the experience that may have had an emotional component, ant that way contributed to insufficient healing. By experience the emotional component, it becomes possible for the patient/client to let go of the deepest causes of their illnesses. Synopsis: The first intensive course reviews the first two levels of Upledgers Craniosacral techniques , to have a common understanding of them necessary as a preparation for being able to understand and apply the concept or SomatoEmotional Release®. This will be followed by two 4-day courses where the complete concept or SomatoEmotional Release® is covered with associated techniques. Course Highligts: Review in detail the anatomy and physiology of the craniosacral system. Review techniques to locate restriction patterns in the body that can affect the craniosacral system. Review evaluation methods and techniqes to facilitate normal functioning of the craniosacral system. Discover the differences between Cranial Osteopathy techniques and Craniosacral Therapy techniques. Explore finding and treating energy cysts. Treatment of facilitated segments. How to evaluate and treat the whole body-fascia from craniosacral point of view. - An introduction to, and historical review of the development or energy cyst and SomatoEmotional Release® - Techniques for releasing the vocal apparatus- to aid expression and release or suppressed emotion - Introduction to the idea and use of therapeutic imagery - Principles and practice of dialogue - Integration of imagery and dialogue techniques with process of SomatoEmotional Release® - Integration of Energy work; Meridians, Chakras, Axis and Vectors - The history, key concepts and therapeutic process of Psychosyntesis, Gestalt and Jungian psychology - Practical application of the integration of Psychosyntesis, Gestalt and Jungian psychology with SomatoEmotional Release® and therapeutic imagery and dialogue - Methods for inviting a solicited image, maintaining it and discovering an images purpose - Skills for facilitating dialogue between patients different levels of consciousness - 10 step protocol for imagery and dialogue - Exercises in active imagination, archetypes, self awareness and dialogue and facilitated imagery - Continued focus on Craniosacral rhythm as significant detector Recommended reading: Your Inner Physician and You by Dr. John Upledger. Also part of the curriculum for this course are CranioSacral Therapy by Upledger and Vredgevoogd and CranioSacral Therapy – Beyond the Dura by Upledger. SomatoEmotional Release by Upledger. These books are not included in the course fee, but can be ordered online. Instructor: Ragnar August Axelsson August came to CranioSacral Therapy from a massage therapy background. He attended his first craniosacral course in 1999, completed the core curriculum in about 3 years and is a certified creniosacral therapist at diplomate level.
